I'm sitting at my desk, I have been staring at my computer for the last 8 hours, there is 50cm of snow outside and the shoes I'm wearing will barely get me across the parking lot, let alone a whole country.
I miss you, Camino.

"Don't cry for me
Peregrina.
The truth is
I never left you
Along my wild trails
my hills and dales
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance."
Truth is ... there is 20cm and more along much of the camino right now. Terrible snow blizzards have cut off Roncesvalles, Zubiri and even in Pamplona. Heavy, Heavy snow falls in Leon. Cebriero parish is without electricity, roads are impassable.
Dream of spring on the camino dear pilgrim ... fields of poppies, blue skies with white jet trails ... storks nests on high.
Abrazos,
Sil
Have enjoyed your blogged journey and folloed it and will be getting a 60+ knee in action as my wife and I work towards a Sep 09 camino. Have looked back to your writings for ideas..............
As a walker of years the pain and plesure of a trek is always hardest when it is finished and the loss of that time is recalled.
The camino actually starts when it finishes
Start planning something else to look forward to so that you have hoped expectations in your daily life and loves
hope not to preachy but anyway christmas and new year blessings
happy trails
